names would depend on the options you've chosen to install of course.ĮDIT: Here's what I mean for this part -> įailing that, you can try to change the fonts in the INI manually yourself. You can try with Wrye Bash again, if you open it and go to the INI Edits tab, then make sure you have the Oblivion.ini selected on the pane of the right, and then look for DarkUId DarN ini tweaks on the pane om the left and try to Apply the ones you have installed. and yeah it still have the default Fonts there. Here is a link to some images sorry for the low quality I couldn't get my computer to screencap oblivion properly & had to use my phone Īnd the link to where I got both UIs from Īs stated I can get vanilla Darn UI to work but not Dark even with default fonts
#DARNIFIED UI OBLIVION MESSED UP HOW TO#
They leave once I uninstall it but I just don't know how to tackle the issue head on in fear of destroying the game's files. But everytime I try reinstalling DarkUI and trying out settings that may have messed with it from the installer section it asks me if I want to allow it to edit ini files (which I have no great knowledge of knowing how to properly use that) I click ok assuming nothing bad would happen and as the Dark UI is implemented into Oblivion all the issues I stated are there.
When I use regular DarnUI I select what I want via wizard and let it load in and BAM game is just fine and the menus are better as they should be. some sections in the inventory tab were bigger than others but that didn't make it the end of the world for me, however I saw that there was a dark version of Darnified UI too same way of installing with the wizard in Wrye Bash but when it comes to the dark version it totally makes the game borderline unplayable with the mouse being pushed out and only being able to select and scroll menu sections with the arrow keys, the map is just fine but a lot of the text overlap each other or get too large or get pitch black. I use Wrye bash to mod oblivion and so far so good, I started with basic Darnified UI via the UI Wizard installer for Wrye Bash and for the most part it worked just fine, all I had to do for regular Darn UI was drag drop and click wizard & pick what I want.
